To Members High School Children
Yes, the children and dependents (this does not include spouses)
of Teamsters will be encouraged to apply for scholarships from the Teamsters
Scholarship Fund and the JRHMSF.
Scholarships
For the 2025-2026 academic year, the Teamsters Scholarship Fund will distribute at least $1,200,000 through 600 one-time $2,000 scholarships for students attending a four-year college or university or a community college, trade school, or vocational school.
How Are Scholarships Awarded?
Academic Scholarship: Areas that are reviewed by the International Scholarship Committee and Tuition Services, Inc. include, but are not limited to, academic accomplishments, community service, letters of recommendation (if a Canadian or Puerto Rican applicant), and financial need.
Training and Vocational Programs Scholarship: Areas that are reviewed by the International Scholarship and Tuition Services, Inc. will select the scholarship recipients, but are not limited to, personal statement, essay, letters of recommendation, and financial need.
Applying For Scholarships
The application process is open for academic or vocational/training program scholarships for children and financial dependents of Teamsters members, including BLET, BMWED, and TCRC members.

The deadline for application completion is March 2, 2026. Academic scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 and Vocational/Training program scholarships ranging from $500 to $2,000 are available to High School seniors who are the sons/daughters/financial dependents of Teamster members (including members of the BLET, BMWED, TCRC, TCRC-BMW). In 2025, the Fund awarded $1.2 million in scholarships to Teamster children across the U.S. and Canada.
